Brazil beat Germany 2-0 in final

On Sunday June 30th millions watched the Brazilians take the World Cup from their rivals the Germans. In the stunning game Ronaldo scored both the goals. Ronaldo’s two second-half goals gave Brazil their fifth FIFA World Cup championship and firmly put the hosts of the France 98 final to rest. It was a hard-fought and equally played match befitting a clash of world football’s biggest titans, but Ronaldo had the touch of greatness that separated the two teams in Yokohama, Japan.

Ronaldo also lifts the Golden Shoe with eight goals in the finals, three more than his next closest competitors, Rivaldo and Miroslav Klose. In talking with reporters Ronaldo said that, " God reserved the World Cup for me and my team."

After the last whistle was blown many of the brazil team players fell to the ground before 69,029 fans praying to Jesus. Many of the Players wrote the words, " I LOVE JESUS", "100% JESUS 100% World Cup or even "WE BELONG TO JESUS"

Sunday's World Cup final was 72 years in the making, pitting the two winningest teams in soccer - Germany and Brazil - against each other for the first time in tournament history.

After the Germans dominated the Brazilians in the first half, Ronaldo scored two second-half goals in a 2-0 win, giving Brazil its fifth World Cup crown before 69,029 fans at the International Stadium in Yokohama, Japan.

The result was sweet vindication for Ronaldo after Brazil's embarrassing 3-0 loss to France in the final four years ago.
